With their Alegra Series, Hohner have given the humble recorder a welcome makeover. The Alegra B95862 has a natural pear wood body that produces a warm and clear sound and has been topped with a contrasting blue mouthpiece. The mouthpiece has been made from specially treated plastic impregnated with antibacterial silver ions which effectively prevents bacterial development, and an hour after playing, any bacteria that is present has been reduced by 80%.

Baroque Fingering

This recorder has been tuned in C and features baroque fingering, including double-bored sixth and seventh holes and reduced hole spacing to make learning easier for children. The body also features Hohner's simple yet clever Roll Stop system which prevents the recorder from rolling from a tabletop and falling to the floor, and so kids can safely tote their recorder to lessons and rehearsals, Hohner have included a protective nylon soft case.
